Welcome! A bit about me . . .
An accomplished educator who has presented my teaching pedagogy at national conferences, I have excelled at both the high school and college levels for 20 years. My courses are designed to enhance reading and writing abilities, develop creative and critical thinking, and encourage collaboration. I provide high high-quality instruction to students of wide-raging backgrounds and academic abilities. I bridge new learning and texts into existing knowledge, interests, and life experiences; address multiple academic abilities and a variety of learning styles; and utilize technology and cosmopolitan literacy styles for heuristic, community-building, and differentiated instructional purposes. My teaching approach is adaptable, allowing me to respond to the unique needs of each classroom, identify students who may be struggling, and adjust my methods to ensure a more enriching and enjoyable learning experience for all. My expertise in the subject matter, along with my personal publications, enables me to communicate a genuine passion for my field, inspiring a love of learning and literature in my students.
